Introduction to Connectivity Issues
Whether through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Ethernet, connectivity issues will make quite a difference to an ASUS computer regarding daily activities. These are usually because of software misconfigurations or malfunctioning hardware.Some of the symptoms of connectivity issues in a computer are mentioned below:
Symptoms:
- No internet access despite proper Wi-Fi credentials.
- Frequent Wi-Fi disconnections or limited network range.
- Bluetooth devices failing to pair or disconnecting intermittently.
- Ethernet cable showing "No Internet" despite being connected.
Causes are different in different model however some common are mentioned below:
- Driver Issues: Outdated, corrupted, or missing network drivers.
- Router Issues: Bad modem/router, interference in signals, and wrong settings.
- Hardware: Network adapter malfunction, damage to Ethernet ports, or internal Wi-Fi cards.
- Software Conflict: Antivirus software or firewall interference with network settings.

- Update Drivers: Open Device Manager, look for "Network Adapters," and update the drivers. Update with the latest versions using ASUS support utilities.
- Reset Network Settings: Under Settings, go to "Network & Internet" and run "Network Reset.".
- Reconnect to Router: Restart the router/modem and reconnect the computer. Use a wired connection to test stability.
- Hardware Check: Test the network adapter or Ethernet cable. Replace damaged components if necessary.
- Bluetooth Solution: Remove and re-pair devices in "Bluetooth & devices" settings. Update Bluetooth drivers for smooth operation.
